A 28-year-old dude got himself in some serious trouble when he tried to firebomb the U.S. embassy branch in Tel Aviv, Israel, a few weeks back. According to federal prosecutors, this guy, Joseph Neumayer, who holds both U.S. and German citizenship, was nabbed by FBI agents at JFK Airport in New York City after being kicked out of Israel. The whole thing went down on May 19 when Neumayer showed up at the embassy with a backpack. Apparently, he decided to spit at a guard for no reason at all and then booked it when the guard tried to stop him. He ditched his backpack outside the embassy, and when they checked it out, they found three Molotov cocktails chilling inside. Classic move, dude.

Before his little field trip to the embassy, Neumayer allegedly hopped on social media and posted some pretty intense stuff like “join me as I burn down the embassy in Tel Aviv. Death to America, death to Americans, and f***k the west.” He didn’t stop there, though. He also threw some threats at President Trump online. The Israeli authorities weren’t having any of it, so they sent him packing back to the U.S. where he was promptly arrested in the Big Apple. The feds slapped him with charges of attempting to destroy the U.S. Embassy with fire or explosives, and if he’s found guilty, he could be looking at up to 20 years behind bars. Attorney General Pamela Bondi didn’t hold back, stating that they won’t stand for this kind of violence and will come down on Neumayer with the full force of the law. FBI Director Kash Patel also chimed in, calling Neumayer’s actions “despicable and violent” and making it clear that they won’t tolerate it at home or abroad.

The whole situation is pretty wild, right? I mean, who does this kind of stuff? It’s not every day you hear about someone trying to firebomb an embassy and making threats against the President. It’s like something out of a movie, but unfortunately, it’s all too real in this case. The fact that Neumayer posted his intentions on social media just adds another layer of craziness to the whole thing. You have to wonder what was going through his mind when he decided to pull a stunt like that. Maybe he thought he was some kind of rebel or freedom fighter, but in reality, he just ended up in a world of trouble. Hopefully, this serves as a lesson to anyone else thinking about doing something similar. Let’s hope that justice is served and that this kind of thing doesn’t happen again anytime soon.
