A British mum has come forward with a shocking story of being thrown around a dance floor by a bouncer in a popular nightclub in Benidorm, Spain. Charlotte Benson, aged 31, recounted the terrifying incident to MailOnline, detailing how she was pushed to the ground and repeatedly kicked in the ribs during a night out with friends. The attack, which she described as ‘horrendous’, left her with visible bruising on her body and a black eye. Mrs. Benson, who hails from Shropshire, West Midlands, also claimed to have suffered internal bruising as a result of the alleged assault.
The alleged assault took place on Friday, March 28 at The Red Lion bar, but attempts to reach out to the establishment and the National Police force for comments were met with silence. Mrs. Benson shared that she and her friends had spontaneously decided to fly to Benidorm instead of Liverpool due to cost reasons. After a fun day out, they ended up at The Red Lion, where the incident unfolded. In a shocking account, Mrs. Benson revealed how she felt a sudden force push her to the ground while returning from the bathroom, resulting in her being flung across the dance floor and kicked in the ribs. Despite being just 5ft 2ins and eight stone, she managed to get up and confronted a towering bouncer who allegedly shoved her again and told her to leave.
The aftermath of the attack saw Mrs. Benson and her friends calling for an ambulance and the police, only to be met with indifference and lack of assistance. Paramedics reportedly disregarded her injuries, forcing her to seek medical attention at a private hospital where internal bruising was discovered. The police response was equally disheartening, with Mrs. Benson being advised to report the crime at an English-speaking station that turned out to be closed on weekends. Frustrated by the lack of empathy and support, she expressed her disappointment at the authorities’ handling of the situation, emphasizing that she and her friends were not troublemakers but innocent victims of a violent act.
