A dude just admitted to a murder-for-hire scheme where he was planning to feed the victim’s body to pigs. Jeal Sutherland, 57, copped a guilty plea for using some kind of interstate thingy to set up a hit on a guy living in Albany, New York. He could get up to 10 years in the slammer for this shady business. Sutherland spilled the beans on Wednesday in a federal court up north in New York.

According to court papers, Sutherland was trying to off a dude who happens to be the baby daddy of his ex’s kid. As part of his diabolical plan, Sutherland promised to wipe clean the debt of whoever did the dirty work. He even reached out to a guy he thought was a pig farmer to use his farm for the disposal of the victim’s body by feeding it to the hogs. But get this, the farmer turned out to be an undercover FBI agent. Sutherland got busted in late January, and thankfully, the target didn’t get hurt.

Before getting caught, Sutherland also hired another man to leave a dead Canada goose with a scary letter in its beak on the intended victim’s mom’s doorstep, as per the Justice Department. United States Attorney John A. Sarcone had some strong words about the situation, saying, “Jeal Sutherland hatched a vicious plot to kill a romantic rival and intimidate his victim’s family.” Apart from possible prison time, Sutherland might have to cough up a hefty fine of $250,000 and be on supervised release for up to three years. The big sentencing day is set for September 22, 2025.

Not really sure why this matters, but the whole shebang went down in Pennsylvania and New York. It’s wild to think about what could drive someone to go to such lengths just because of some love triangle drama. Hopefully, justice will be served in the end.
