Why Trump is so into helping Mexico with military stuff
So, there’s this Mexican security dude named César Guzman who did some work for the U.S. State Department and got shot at a restaurant in Guadalajara. It happened on a Friday night after 9 p.m. when he was having dinner with two other instructors he just finished training cops with in Jalisco state. The FBI retired guy, Arturo Fontes, who worked with Guzman, said they taught anti-drug classes to Mexican cops for the State Department in Mexico City and Queretaro state. Another security guy, Carlos Amador, got killed too, and a third instructor, Pablo Cajigal, is in bad shape.
Apparently, the guys were having tacos when some random shooters popped up and started firing at them before speeding away in a red Nissan. Two guys and two girls got hurt in the attack, which went down at around 9:49 p.m. in San Pedro Tlaquepaque. The U.S. consulate in Guadalajara said the men weren’t currently working for them but didn’t spill the beans on their past connection with the State Department. They’re all about privacy and security, you know. The violence in Jalisco is getting out of hand with all these shootings happening left and right. Remember that social media influencer who got shot while live streaming on TikTok? Crazy stuff.
Not sure if it’s just me, but it seems like these attacks in Jalisco are becoming a trend. A politician got shot while munching on seafood, a mom looking for her missing peeps got killed with her son, and even the police chief got taken out. It’s like a warzone over there. The State Department might want to reconsider sending folks to train cops in that part of Mexico. Just saying.
