Unrest in UK Cities: Police Injured in Plymouth, Birmingham, Belfast, Darlington
Recent clashes between anti-racist and far-right protesters have caused chaos in various cities across the UK. The level of violence and unrest has led to nearly 400 arrests across the country. Prime Minister has taken action by setting up a “standing army” of specialist police officers to handle the riots. Sir Keir Starmer also held an emergency Cobra meeting following racist attacks and fires set to hotels housing asylum seekers in Rotherham and Tamworth.
In Darlington, an 18-year-old man was arrested after violent disorder broke out in the North Lodge Park area.
