10 Teens Injured in Tragic Shooting Outside Queens Event Space
In a disturbing incident that shook Jamaica, Queens, a mass shooting outside the Amazura Concert Hall on 144th Place left ten teenagers wounded. The chaos unfolded just after 11:15 p.m. on New Year’s Day, as police report multiple suspects firing shots into a crowd of about 15 individuals standing outside the venue.

According to authorities, approximately 90 people were present inside the event space for a private gathering, with the venue at full capacity. A line of about 15 attendees waited outside when four unidentified men approached the crowd on 91st Avenue and discharged roughly 30 rounds of ammunition. The assailants quickly fled towards 143rd Place, where they escaped in a light-colored sedan bearing out-of-state license plates.
Victims’ Conditions and Medical Response
Law enforcement officers swiftly responded to numerous emergency calls and discovered a total of ten victims – six females and four males – who were promptly transported to nearby medical facilities. Fortunately, all individuals are anticipated to recover from their non-life-threatening injuries. The injured teens, aged between 16 and 19, sustained a range of wounds, including gunshot injuries to their extremities and graze wounds to their backs.
Ambulances flooded the street to transport the victims to Jamaica Hospital Trauma Center, New York-Presbyterian Queens, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and Cohen Children’s Medical Center for treatment. Additionally, police are actively scouring local healthcare facilities for any additional gunshot victims linked to the incident.
