An old dude got killed and another guy got stabbed to death in Victoria today. It’s been a rough day, folks. The Homicide Squad detectives managed to catch a 55-year-old dude suspected of killing an 86-year-old man named Paul Waylen in Cowes, located on the tourist hotspot known as Phillip Island. Meanwhile, in another part of the state, a 32-year-old local guy was found dead in O’Brien Lane in Moe, Gippsland. The incidents were totally unrelated, but still pretty tragic.

The suspect for the Phillip Island murder is apparently one of Mr. Waylen’s sons, who was nabbed in Ventnor, a nearby town. He’s currently in the hospital with some injuries that he probably did to himself. The cops were called to the scene in Cowes around 10.20am, where they found the victim and the suspect, who apparently knew each other. The details of what went down are still a bit murky, but the police are on it. Over in Moe, a body was found slumped over in an alleyway, stabbed multiple times. A 26-year-old woman was questioned by the police but let go for now.
