A woman was tragically shot and killed while walking on a trail in Nashville. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Paul Park, was arrested and charged with her murder. The victim, Alyssa Lokits, was found dead from a gunshot wound in an overgrown area of the Mill Creek Greenway in the Antioch neighborhood.

Surveillance footage captured the suspect following Lokits and then returning to his car with cuts and blood on his clothing. The police were able to identify the suspect as Paul Park, the identical twin brother of a person involved in a previous case.

Authorities quickly issued an arrest warrant for Park and took him into custody near the greenway where the shooting took place. He is currently being held in the Davidson County jail and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

Lokits, who worked in IT and cybersecurity, was described as a beloved member of the community. She was shot once in the head and unfortunately succumbed to her injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
