A male model who has appeared in Calvin Klein and Levi’s campaigns has been charged with murder in New York City. Dynus Saxon was arraigned in Bronx criminal court for the stabbing death of Kadeem Grant on November 10. Grant, a 35-year-old victim, was found stabbed in the chest in an apartment in the Bronx, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. A knife was recovered near the victim’s body, and a trail of blood was seen on the front steps of the apartment building.
Saxon, a 20-year-old resident of Manhattan’s East Harlem neighborhood, faces charges of murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon. During his arraignment, he was held without bail until his next court date on December 3. Reports indicate that Saxon did not speak during the proceedings and had a large bandage over his right hand due to an injury sustained while repeatedly stabbing Grant.
The victim’s father, Christopher Grant, described his son as a loving individual who cared for his young daughter and grandmother. He expressed sadness that his granddaughter would have to grow up without a father. Meanwhile, Bronx Defenders, a public defender nonprofit representing Saxon, has not provided any comments on the case.
Saxon’s Instagram profile, which has been set to private, showcased his modeling work and attendance at red carpet events, such as the New York premiere of the Marvel film “Deadpool & Wolverine” this summer. The police have not disclosed any motive or further details regarding the incident.
