A woman has been identified by the police as a serial killer after being arrested and charged with three murders in Toronto, Niagara Falls, and another Canadian city. The gruesome attacks took place over three days, from Tuesday to Thursday.
The suspect, Sabrina Kauldhar, 30, was apprehended at a suburban Toronto hotel after authorities connected the killings and found similarities in each case. Police are also working on identifying another woman who was seen on CCTV footage buying clothing that Kauldhar had in her possession at the time of her arrest.
Kauldhar is facing murder charges in the deaths of a 60-year-old woman in Toronto, a 47-year-old man in Niagara Falls, and a 77-year-old man in Hamilton, Ontario. The first victim in Toronto was known to the assailant and had visible trauma to the body.
According to investigators, the suspect randomly targeted her victims in Hamilton and Niagara Falls. The victims, Mario Bilich and Lance Cunningham, were going about their business when they were attacked. Cunningham was found dead in a park in Niagara Falls after police responded to a disturbance call. His wife expressed her grief, stating that he did not deserve this tragedy.
Bilich, a retired schoolteacher, was followed by the suspect to his vehicle in a Hamilton parking lot and suffered significant injuries consistent with stab wounds. He later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Police were able to link the Hamilton homicide to the murder in Niagara Falls and an active investigation in Toronto based on the suspect’s description.
The police chief described the suspect as a serial killer, confirming the fears of the public. The swift action taken by law enforcement led to the arrest of the perpetrator before more lives could be lost. The community is now reeling from the shock of these senseless crimes and mourning the loss of the innocent victims.
The investigation into the motives behind these heinous acts is ongoing, as authorities work to bring justice to the families of the deceased. The impact of these murders has sent shockwaves through the cities affected, prompting discussions about safety measures and vigilance in the face of such threats. The community is coming together to support each other during this difficult time and seek solace in the solidarity of their neighbors.
