Police recently released a photo of a man named Nkonde Liandisha, who was arrested for violating a ban that prohibited him from entering the town center of Wrexham. The image shows Liandisha with heavily matted dreadlocks covering his eyes. This ban was imposed due to his inappropriate behavior towards women and assaulting an emergency worker.
Despite the court order banning him from the town center during specific hours, Liandisha was caught by the police on Regent Street in Wrexham well past the allowed time. This was the fifth time he had breached the order, leading to a judge sentencing him to 16 months in jail. The judge emphasized the importance of respecting such orders to protect the public, especially women.
Following the release of his mugshot, social media users criticized the police for not ensuring his face was visible in the photo. Despite pleas for leniency from his defense, the judge emphasized that Liandisha’s repeated offenses needed to stop. He warned Liandisha that continued defiance of the order would result in longer sentences in the future.
