A man was found in a neighborhood near the North Las Vegas Airport with a gunshot wound and has unfortunately passed away, according to the police.
The incident took place on Thursday around 10:20 p.m. on Alwill Street. The Metropolitan Police Department received a call about the shooting and responded to the scene. The man was discovered between two buildings and was rushed to the University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police investigations revealed that the victim had approached two individuals whom he did not recognize. An altercation ensued, leading to one of the individuals pulling out a gun and shooting the victim. The Metropolitan Police Department is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with the investigation.
